Ted Lapidus Clips
Ted Lapidus Clips
Ted Lapidus was a French designer known as the pioneer of unisex fashion. After completing an apprenticeship with Dior, Ted Lapidus launched his own fashion label in 1951. He incorporated military and safari styles into haute couture.
Lapidus's creations were worn by Brigitte Bardot, Françoise Hardy, and Alain Delon. He dressed the iconic model Twiggy in a trouser suit with a tie, deviating from her usual mini-skirt attire.
Notably, Lapidus created the iconic white suit worn by John Lennon on the cover of The Beatles' Abbey Road album.
The Ted Lapidus jewelry brand was founded in the late 1960s. He continued to create costume jewelry designs until the 1990s.
The clips are in perfect vintage condition. They have a contemporary look and can be incorporated not only into elegant outfits but also into a grunge aesthetic.
