Lot 97: Edouard Rambaud Brooch

The brooch by French designer Edouard Rambaud. Good vintage condition. There are some yellowish spots on a surface of the brooch.

Rambaud started creating jewelry in 1984 and a few years later he launched the bag line. Then he transitioned to furniture design and sculpture.

Some sources suggest that he collaborated with Yves Saint Laurent before establishing his own brand. His jewelry was inspired by Ancient Greek ornaments, featuring natural forms and lines. If you look through his designs you will find a lot of images of sun, hearts, stars, spirals and shells.

During the 1980s and 1990s, his works gained immense popularity. Top models of that era were pictured wearing his bracelets, necklaces, and clip-on earrings in the Vogue editorials.
