Vintage Lanvin Pendant
Vintage Lanvin Pendant
The pendant depicts the logo of the famous fashion house Lanvin.
Its history began in Paris when 22-year-old Jeanne Lanvin opened a hat shop in Paris in 1889. Ten years later, the founder gave birth to her daughter Marguerite, who became not only her family but also a true muse.
Jeanne sewed dresses for her from the most luxurious materials, and her clients wanted the same for their daughters, so the brand opened a Young Ladies’ and Women’s department. Mothers and daughters would come and choose their Lanvin outfits together.
The logo of the house, which is depicted on our pendant, represents a mother and daughter: it was a photograph of Jeanne and Marguerite in matching dresses taken at one of the balls.
The pendant is dedicated to the reissue of the 1927 Arpège perfume. Arpège is a musical term that translates to 'arpeggio'. This fragrance was inspired by Marguerite's piano playing.
The pendant is in a good vintage condition with minor signs of use. The chain comes as a gift, although it is not part of the original set.The chain shows signs of wear, with several dark spots. We also include a simple black cord in the set.
