The clips are remarkably lightweight and comfortable to wear, despite their considerable size. However, it's worth noting that there are some areas on the inner side of the clip where the coating has chipped off, and this defect is reflected in the price. The clips look brand new on the outer side and are bound to grab attention.

About Alexis Lahellec

Certain talented designers deserve to be rediscovered, and Alexis Lahellec, the creator of these exquisite butterfly clips, is a prime example.

During the 1980s and 1990s, he specialized in crafting costume jewelry. Some of his works were pictured in Vogue, adorning the era's top models..

For instance, Linda Evangelista, captured by Patrick Demarchelier for Italian Vogue's September 1990 issue, wore a pair of clip-on earrings created by Alexis Lahellec:

In Vogue Italia's June 1992 issue, Yasmeen Ghauri wore Alexis Lahellec's clip-on earrings, photographed by Walter Chin.

Karen Mulder was featured wearing a set of costume jewelry by Alexis Lahellec in the "Flamboyant" photo shoot by Ellen von Unwerth for Vogue Italia in 1991.

In the 90s he closed his brand, and switched to furniture and interior design.
This is an armchair of his design inspired by the sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle:
